If you're like me, then your heart will be breaking each time you see the harrowing scenes on TV of these poor children. I could hardly believe that there are 1 million orphans (latest figures) with nowhere and no one to turn to.
I decided that I'd like to do whatever I can, although it might not be much, to help them.
That's why I've started this fund-raising blog.
My first idea is to make some cards, towel cakes, crafts etc and whatever money I might make from selling them will be donated to the fund.
I've wanted to organise a charity disco for sometime now, so got to thinking that with Christmas being over with, and having to get through the cold winter months, that some people might like the opportunity to have a party! I'm in the processs of contacting several hotels in the area and have asked them if they would be willing to contribute in whatever way they can.
If anyone else would like to help fund raise for these beatiful, helpless little children, then please do get in touch with me and I'll reply as soon as I can.
